The Sound of Revenge

Once they recalled the fortress siege, the past echoes of countless feet revived themselves once more. Although they were nothing but a revenant of old conflict, the broken beat resounded menacingly like the thunder that follows the light of the storm. This discordant march that echoed to and fro fell upon the unrelenting earth and manifested its ethereal strength. Like an army of soldiers clad in silver, bronze, and gold, the thunderous pulse drew closer with great desire to strike a devastating blow.

A wrathful impression bore down upon the stone walls as the sky darkened and flashed. Streaks of crimson light spread throughout the sky like a rush of blood flowing through hundreds of veins. The jagged white bars of light that fell from the sky struck down like spears thrown by a cavalry of knights. The harsh and heavy rain that plunged themselves into the earth descended like arrows fired from a legion of keen highlanders. And so, when day fell upon the earth once again, all it could cast its light upon was a sea of stone stained red. All this inevitable destruction was but a culmination of nature’s disease. A disease that spreads like wind and fire. A disease that we call revenge.
